Mission Statement
Hoplon Ministries is an organization dedicated to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, so that people may be reconciled back to Him. Our mission is to give hope to those in desperation and enable them to provide for their own needs, to affect true, lasting change. We seek to aid and equip those around the world who are called to these same purposes.
Who we are
ὅπλον (hoplon) -- a tool, implement, or weapon
Hoplon Ministries was founded by two American Police Officers, and their families, which focuses on the rescue of people in places of crisis, conflict, and desperation. We travel around the world and form relationships with local people who share our vision and passion for the Gospel and assist them with making lasting impacts in their region through rescue missions, orphan care, church planting, discipleship, education, and farming.
We are currently doing work in east Africa, specifically northern Uganda and South Sudan. We are addressing the orphan epidemic following decades of war, as well as the food crisis caused by the conflict, flooding, and poor infrastructure.
We rely completely on donor funding to accomplish our projects. Donors who share a passion for the Gospel and orphan care fund all aspects of our missions, including medical equipment, vehicles, building materials, bibles, educational curricula, feeding programs, well drilling, and more.
And do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin as instruments (ὅπλον) of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts as instruments (ὅπλον) of righteousness for God.
-Romans 6:13
Jesus Said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
— Matthew 19:14
And the king will answer them, “truly, i say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
-Matthew 25:40
